AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation created single band Models 15S1G6, 50S1G6 & 100S1G6, providing 15 to 100 W of linear output power across the .7 to 6 GHz frequency band while providing excellent gain flatness.
AR’s EMC test software combines radiated susceptibility, conducted immunity and emissions testing into one package allowing more control and a more intuitive interface. Built-in standards include IEC, MIL-STD, DO160, automotive standards and the ability to create your own test standards.
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has introduced a family of solid-state microwave amplifiers that provide up to 500 W of power from 1 to 2.5 GHz. These amplifiers offer a solid-state alternative to traveling wave tube amplifiers and feature better harmonics, less noise and superior reliability.
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has created single band Models 15S1G6 & 50S1G6. They provide 15 & 50 W of linear output power across the 1 to 6 GHz frequency band with excellent gain flatness. The ability to use one band instead of two means you use less power, and don't require the amplifiers to be switched from one band to the other to perform the required tests.
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has expanded its family of S1G4 amplifier series that cover the 0.8 to 4.2 GHz frequency range. Two new models have been added which offer 525 W and 700 W of RF power, models 525S1G4, and 700S1G4.
The MultiStar precision DSP based DER2018 is a state-of-the-art emissions receiver with an integral computer capable of reducing your valuable test time from days to minutes. It is extremely easy to operate with all functions menu driven and displayed on a supplied 23" flat panel LCD monitor.
New innovations at AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation are enabling the company to produce smaller, more compact amplifiers with just as much power as the older, larger models. The new “A” series amplifiers, for example, are 25 to 50% smaller than previous models, yet the new size does not mean a reduction in power.
AR’s model 20S4G18, a 20 W solid-state amplifier covering 4 to 18 GHz provides high gain, low noise, good linearity and excellent mismatch capability. The amplifier also delivers superior EVM (error vector magnitude) performance. With a minimum of 43 dB gain and a typical noise figure of 6 dB, the 20S4G18 offers significant advantages over traveling wave tube amplifiers in this frequency range.
The second edition of AR’s “Orange Book of Knowledge” is now available. The book contains articles and application notes on a wide range of topics and applications – from the importance of mismatch capability to testing beyond specs and everything in between.
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation’s model FL7018 (3 MHz – 18 GHz / 1 – 1000 V/m) is the newest addition to the company’s Starprobe® family of advanced laser-powered e-field probes. The probe’s noise reduction and temperature compensation capabilities allow accurate measurement down to 1 V/m. When rotated about its magic angle mount, it provides isotropic response of +/-1.5 dB to 8 GHz.
The Model 10ST1G18A is a self contained, forced air cooled, broadband hybrid solid state and traveling wave tube (TWT) microwave amplifier designed for applications where low harmonic content is required in sub-band ranges and where high gain and moderate power output are required. A reliable amplifier system that provides a conservative 10 Wminimum at the amplifier output connector with low harmonics.
AR has introduced a new solid state microwave amplifier: model 120S1G4 covers 0. 8 to 4.2 GHz and has a power output of 120 W. This amplifier employs a new design that delivers more than twice the power of older models. The new, more efficient design consumes less power and incorporates both USB and Ethernet interfaces in addition to the standard IEEE and RS-232 interfaces.
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is revising one of its amplifier families, the A225 family, making models smaller yet more powerful with wider frequency ranges. The A225 family now offers models with power up to 16,000 W and covers 10 kHz to 225 MHz.
AR’s family of six, battery-powered, rechargeable E&H field probes cover 100 kHz to 60 GHz, 0.4 to 1000 V/m, 0.012 to 17 A/m. Individually, each probe covers a wide frequency range that most ordinary probes. They feature user-replaceable, rechargeable batteries and no re-calibration required.
The AR-50 booster amplifier boosts tactical radio signals from handheld and back-pack multi-band VHF/UHF tactical radio equipment employing legacy, proprietary and emerging JTRS waveforms. It provides 50 W of output with as little as 3 W input and offers two antenna ports dedicated to line-of-sight (LOS) or UHF Satellite (SATCOM).
This is version 2.0 of AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation's comprehensive EMC test software. The SW1007 software program includes MIL STD emissions capabilities, along with the radiated susceptibility and conducted immunity capabilities that made the software so popular in the past.
AR’s versatile RF test system controllers (signal routing switch matrices) coordinate multiple pieces of equipment in a single test setup alleviating the need for changing cable feeds due to frequency limitations of individual pieces. The SC1000’s can be used as RF switch matrices and can be controlled by SW888A and SW10006 software.
AR offers several families of solid state microwave amplifiers: 0.8 to 4.2GHz (1 to 700 W); 0.8 to 3 GHz (15 to 800 W); 4 to 10.6 GHz (1 to 150 W); 4 to 8 GHz (15 to 120 W) and 8 to 20 GHz ( 5 to 20 W). Our S series amps generate 100% of rated power and make it available to the load even when mismatch is severe. 100% of the power is available and delivered to the output device 100% of the time.
AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has upgraded its line of laser-powered star probes with a new electric field probe, which replaces the previous model FL7018. The new model, FL7218, is a smart, fast, extremely accurate electric field probe that contains an internal microprocessor

DownloadThere is a wide variety of coaxial connectors and cables available for use in the RF and Microwave spectrum. While often not much thought is given to these essential components, a misstep here can result in undesirable system degradation. Given that typical RF systems are comprised of any number of items, e.g. RF generators, amplifiers, attenuators, power meters, couplers, antennas, etc., it is not uncommon that a great deal of thought is given to these âhigh end devices while mundane items such as connectors and cables are often treated as an afterthought".
DownloadA catalog to meet all your RF & EMC Testing needs including; RF Amplifiers, Microwave Amplifiers, Antennas, Multi-tone Tester, EMI Receiver, Hybrid Power Modules, EMC/RF Test Systems, Military Booster Amplifiers and much more.
DownloadThe mismatch between these real loads and the amplifier's output impedance result in a percentage of the forward power being reflected back to the amplifier. In some cases, excessive reflected power can damage an amplifier and precautions that may affect forward power are required. This Application note highlights the major RF amplifier characteristics that impact forward power as well as net power allowing the use of Ohm's law, even when conditions are far from ideal.
