AR Introduces The First Model In Its New "A" Series Solid State Amplifiers with Expanded Coverage Down to 10 kHz. Model 500A250A (10kHz - 250MHz / 500 watts) Packs More Power In A Smaller Unit.

Souderton, PA - 3/4/09 - AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation has unveiled the first model in its new “A” Series RF amplifier line. Model 500A250A covers 10kHz – 250MHz; and provides a minimum of 500 watts of swept power when used with an RF sweep generator. Thanks to an innovative new design that packs more power into a smaller size and boasts roughly at 35% reduction in size and weight compared to existing products. Model 500A250A replaces the following models: 250A250A, 500A100A and 500A250. The 500-watt unit weighs just 101 lbs. (45.8 kg) and measures 19.8 x 13.4 x 22 inches. The 500A250A also has an improved noise figure for increased dynamic range.

The new design features a 3.75 inch diagonal graphic display, menu-assigned softkeys, a single rotary knob, and four dedicated switches for extensive control and status reporting capability. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely in GPIB/IEEE-488, RS-232, and USB format.

Model 500A250A provides readily available RF power for typical applications such as RF susceptibility testing, antenna and component testing, watt meter calibration, particle accelerators, plasma generation, communications, and for use as a driver for higher power amplifiers.

The new unit, along with most AR equipment, is available for monthly rental at an extremely affordable rate. AR's new rental program also includes a very attractive buyout option. For futher details, visit AR's web site or contact your local AR Sales Associate.
