Crane Aerospace & Electronics TRUs fly on Gulfstream G500 & G600

 Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., was selected by Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. to supply its ELDEC® Transformer Rectifier Units (TRU) on the Gulfstream G500 and G600.  Each aircraft will have five 250 Amp TRUs, which will provide DC bus power throughout the aircraft. Gulfstream previously selected the same TRU for use on the G650 aircraft providing commonality across all three aircraft models.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics Microwave Solution launches its new Ku-Band Iso-Divider product line designed for use in satellite applications. This unit combines the functions of high performance power dividers with ferrite isolators to provide a high isolation power divider solution, making the external isolators redundant, for satellite receiver applications, without introducing complex switchbased solutions. Integration of the two functions into a single package provides enhanced product reliability due to fewer external components, interconnects and transitions.

Crane introduces down-leaded point of load Interpoint MFP Series

Crane Aerospace & Electronics announced the introduction of a new, down-leaded version of its Interpoint MFP Series Point of Load (POL) converters. This new version, available in both flanged and non-flanged packages, is a single output 16 watt dc-dc converter providing output voltages from 0.64 to 3.5 V from a source voltage of 3 to 6 V with up to 90 percent efficiency.

Crane Co., a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products,announced that Eric C. Fast, chief executive officer, will retire from Crane Co. in January 2014. Fast joined Crane in 1999 as president and chief operating officer and was promoted to chief executive officer in January 2001. He will be succeeded by Max H. Mitchell, currently president and chief operating officer.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics announced the introduction of a space grade DC-DC converter family. The SMHF42 is a family of fully isolated, 15 W products with a range of single and dual outputs, operating over an input voltage range of 35 to 55 volts with 80 volt transient protection. They are available in Class H and Class K versions (per MIL-PRF 38534) with radiation tolerance of L (50 krad(Si)) and R (100 krad(Si)).
