Crane Electronics features a new broadband high performance frequency synthesizer. Offering frequency coverage from 2 to 20 GHz, the unit also provides exceptional phase noise performance meeting -73 dBc/Hz at 10 KHz offset for a 9 GHz output frequency. The unit is designed for demanding defense applications.

Crane Electronics offers products built using the unique Multi-Mix® stripline fabrication process. This provides the ability to provide very controlled dielectric properties surrounding the RF conductors resulting in predictable and controllable RF performance results. This process is ideal for complex routing circuits, multi-filter structures, beamformers and complex RF structures.

Crane Co., a diversified manufacturer of highly engineered industrial products,announced that Eric C. Fast, chief executive officer, will retire from Crane Co. in January 2014. Fast joined Crane in 1999 as president and chief operating officer and was promoted to chief executive officer in January 2001. He will be succeeded by Max H. Mitchell, currently president and chief operating officer.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., has announced the appointment of Todd Witchall as vice president of finance and chief financial officer of the Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics. In this role, Witchall will report directly to Bob Tavares, president of Crane Electronics Group.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., has announced the appointment of Greg Gomez-Cornejo as vice president of operations of the Electronics Group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics. In his role, Gomez-Cornejo is responsible for operations and supply chain for all of Electronics Group locations, including Beverly, Massachusetts, Chandler, Arizona, Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Redmond, WA, West Caldwell, New Jersey, Kaohsiung, Taiwan and San Jose, Costa Rica. He will be located in Redmond, WA. 

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., has announced the appointment of Bob Ferrante as vice president of the microwave solution of the electronics group of Crane Aerospace & Electronics. In his role, Ferrante is responsible for operations of all electronics group microwave solutions locations, including Beverly, MA, Chandler, AZ, West Caldwell, NJ and San Jose, Costa Rica. He will be located in West Caldwell, NJ.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., hosted a meeting and facility tour with Rep. Rick Larson, WA -02, on July 27 at the Lynnwood, WA site. Larsen was interested in learning more about Crane, Crane’s involvement in the community, and Crane’s opportunities and needs in the aerospace and defense industry, especially since Crane will be part of the newly-defined second district.
