 Anritsu Co. announces the appointment of Dr. Alexander Chenakin as director of R&D for the Anritsu Microwave Measurement Division (MMD). A renowned expert in the test and measurement industry who holds multiple patents and has earned numerous awards, Dr. Chenakin will oversee the Anritsu R&D team responsible for developing the company’s next-generation synthesized source product line. 

 With the new PicoScope^® 9341 20 GHz Sampling Oscilloscope, engineers can analyze two differential or four single-ended high-speed signals. The instrument is ideal for measuring skew and crosstalk between differential pairs on serial buses such as HDMI, SATA and PCIe, and for testing signal integrity at differential and single-ended transceiver ports. Data rates up to 40 Gb/s can be viewed, with 5th-harmonic characterization possible up to 8 Gb/s.

 Rohde & Schwarz (R&S) announced that Moog has selected the R&S EDS300 DME/pulse analyzer as a standard test solution for R&D, manufacturing and field deployment of their MM-7000 series navigation aids. The Moog MM-7000 is a technologically advanced full service TACAN and DME Beacon-Transponder that is being widely sold into the civil and military aircraft navigation market. 

 New analysis from Frost & Sullivan, "PXI Market to Change the Face of the Test and Measurement Industry", finds that the market earned revenues of $563.3 million in 2013 and estimates this to reach $1.75 billion by 2020.
