San-tron, Inc., a manufacturer of RF coaxial connectors and cable assemblies, reviewed several new innovative connectors and assemblies at the International Microwave Symposium in Tampa, Fla., June 3-6, 2014. Chief among are two small but robust connectors. First is their new pSeries pressurized connectors which provide low-loss, high-stability performance through 30 GHz at +/-65 psi. These pressurized connectors, which meet the IP68 standard, feature a simplified, three-piece design – body, center contact, and an innovative dielectric – which eliminates troublesome internal O-rings, gaskets, and silicone greases.
San-tron's website features a robust product finder, which pulls from San-tron’s extensive library of RF and microwave coaxial connectors and adapters, as well as a simple, user-friendly cable assembly builder. Both tools feed into their new "My Quote" system, which allows multiple products to be added at once including a new custom quote option.
eSeries connectors are characterized by their physical appearance and innovative cable-to-connector transition style. Externally, eSeries connectors have an extended ferrule designed to protect a common failure point at the solder-wick line when cables are flexed repeatedly. To solve a common problem of brass coupling nuts "walking off," these connectors also feature a new, failure-proof coupling nut.
