Linear Technology Corp. announces the LT8309, a flyback secondary-side synchronous rectifier driver that replaces the output diode with a MOSFET, allowing up to 10A output current without the use of a heat sink. The maximum output current of a flyback power supply has been limited by the power loss and heat generated from the output diode when no heat sink is used.

Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced the 33600A Series waveform generators with exclusive Trueform signal-generation technology. With Trueform, the instruments are able to deliver unmatched capabilities used to generate a full range of signals. The 33600A Series comprises four different one- and two-channel models and can generate waveforms up to 120 MHz at a 1 GSa/s sampling rate.

RFMW Ltd. announces application and sales support for a new line of low PIM (Passive Intermodulation) coaxial switches from Radiall, a global leader in design, development and manufacturing of innovative interconnect solutions. Radiall developed a broad series of switches including the following configurations: SPDT, DPDT, SP4T, and SP6T. These configurations are available with either SMA (up to 18 GHz) or N (up to 12.4 GHz) type connectors.

Anritsu's internal atomic clock option for its MS2720T Spectrum Master handheld spectrum analyzer allows users to acquire excellent frequency accuracy, including in environments in which the GPS cannot be used. Integrating the atomic clock inside the MS2720T provides field engineers and technicians with a durable, handheld spectrum analyzer that can deliver the extremely high accuracy necessary to prove regulatory compliance.

Linear Technology announces the LTC3107, a highly integrated DC/DC converter designed to extend the life of a primary battery in low power wireless system networks (WSNs). The LTC3107 combines energy harvesting and power management capability with a primary battery cell to extend the battery’s usable lifetime. The LTC3107 harvests energy from thermoelectric generators (TEGs) and thermopiles when these sources are available.

TEGAM Inc., a leading supplier of innovative RF power measurements, was awarded Patent No. 8,610,069, "Coaxial to Dual Co-Planar Waveguide Launcher for Microwave Bolometry." This patent describes a new way to construct bolometers, a type of microwave power sensor that uses thermistors, that makes them more accurate and easier to assemble. 

RFMW Ltd. announces application and sales support for the Telemakus TEP2000-4 digital phase shifter. This laboratory quality phase shifter has a minimum phase range of 360 degrees with 12-bit, 0.25 degree resolution and operates over the bandwidth of 1 to 2 GHz. Maximum RF input for linear operation is +6 dBm but the device can handle up to +20 dBm.

The NI PXIe-7975R FPGA module features a digital signal processing (DSP)-focused Xilinx Kintex-7 FPGA and 2 GB/s of onboard DDR3 DRAM. This FPGA incorporates 1,540 DSP slices, which you can use to implement digital filters, custom signal processing, and Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) logic, all of which are commonly found on analog FPGA-based instruments.

The TEGAM Model 2191A  ± 40 VDC bias adapter was designed to work with TEGAM’s 3525 and 3550 LCR meters to enable accurate testing of electrolytic, tantalum and other polarized capacitors.  The 2191A adapter accepts an external DC bias voltage up to ± 40 VDC to be applied across the test capacitor. Four six inch BNC cables are provided to connect the bias adapter to the LCR meter.
