RFID SOC from Brazil: A Bovine Beauty

A Brazilian company successfully completed a 12-month field trial, confirming that the first chip developed entirely in Brazil is ready for market. The RFIC designed for read-only, low-frequency RFID was tested with over 2,500 cows at two different farms. The chip reacted to a signal transmission from a reader to wake up digital logic and send back a 128–bit identification telegram, performing the test with a 100 percent success rate.
