Roke Manor Research, the innovative solutions provider and contract R&D specialist, has restructured its business operations, with the aim of delivering better customer service. In particular a new Technology and Innovation Centre has been formed and a new senior management team appointed. The new Technology and Innovation Center comprises over 280 engineers, to provide customers with world-class innovative solutions. Customers will also have access to new full-time account managers, to ensure all their requirements are met.

Key to the restructure is Roke's creation of three new board-level posts. David McDonald, who recently joined from SELEX Communications, becomes business sector director. He heads up 12 new customer focused business sectors covering the company’s core areas of expertise from mobile infrastructure to enterprise solutions and from network monitoring to defense information systems.

Russell Taylor takes the position of projects director, responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered on time and to budget, while Steve Tindale, formerly senior operations manager at Roke, has been appointed engineering services director, with responsibility for ensuring resources are in place to meet changing customer needs.

David Smith, Roke's managing director, said, "The new structure will position us to respond positively to the challenges and demands of an increasingly competitive and dynamic market. Our recent customer surveys indicate that in terms of technical capability we have few peers in our markets. This re-organization will enable us to deliver equally outstanding levels of customer service."
