Guzik Technical Enterprises announced that the Guzik ADP7000 series of digitizers is the first third party product to deploy Keysight’s proprietary 10-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) technology, currently only available within the Keysight Infiniium S-Series Oscilloscopes. The ADP7000 products can directly sample RF signals at DC up to 10 GHz on multiple channels simultaneously. All signal processing is performed in the digital domain with no analog conversions.

Keysight’s two-channel 32 GSamples/s 10-bit ADC is coupled to 128 GBytes of memory and 6 TeraFLOPS of onboard FPGA processing, delivering unprecedented fidelity, speed and processing power for challenging RF applications. Using the industry-standard AXIe modular form factor, multiple digitizers can be deployed within a single Keysight AXIe chassis for multi-channel phase coherent measurements.

“We are really excited to work with Keysight to bring this level of breakthrough measurement solution capability to the marketplace,” said Lauri Viitas, vice president of Product and Business Development at Guzik. “By combining Guzik’s architectural and processing expertise with Keysight’s unique converter technology, we have been able to deliver a paradigm shift for high performance measurement environments.”

“Keysight is focused on delivering world-class measurement solutions to solve the most challenging problems faced by our customers,” said Jay Alexander, Keysight CTO. “Collaborating with innovative partners, like Guzik, we are able to rapidly expand our portfolio of solutions in areas with critical measurement needs, such as 5G, and other advanced communication applications.”

Guzik ADP7000 interleaved ADC amplitude and phase correction and equalization firmware runs on the FPGA-based signal processor. Guzik is supporting the recently announced Optical Data Interface (ODI) standard to expand the ADP7000 stream processing architecture to one or more co-processors, such as the Guzik DP7000. Advanced digital processing options include real-time digital-down-conversion (DDC) with equalization. The digitizers can also be used with analog down converters to expand their capability to wide band mmWave frequencies.

  • The Guzik ADP7104 offers direct RF sampling to 10 GHz in 2-channel mode, and 6.5 GHz in 4-channel mode.
  • The Guzik ADP7084 offers direct RF sampling to 8 GHz in 2-channel mode, and 4 GHz in 4-channel mode.

Guzik digitizers are built on the AXIe platform, which allows them to tightly integrate with other Keysight products, such as the Keysight M8195A multi-channel 65 GSamples/s Arbitrary Waveform Generator, for a total measurement solution.

The new Guzik ADP7000 series of digitizers also integrate with leading waveform analysis software products from Keysight, including the 89600 Vector Signal Analyzer Software, the 81199A Wideband Waveform Analyzer Studio, the N8901A Infiniium hosted oscilloscope interface software for digitizers and the Keysight InfiniiMax series probes.
