RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for CML Microcircuits’ CMX979 low power, dual RF/IF synthesizer IC. The CMX979’s RF fractional-N synthesizer section, with integrated VCO, takes only 36 to 45 mA to produce a 2.7 to 3.6 GHz output LO signal. The synthesizer's configurable 1/2/4/6/8 frequency divider can shift its output to as low as 338 MHz.

Custom MMIC announces three GaAs MMIC mixers for C-, X-, K- and Ka-Band applications. The CMD251C3 fundamental mixer, CMD252C4 I/Q mixer and CMD180 fundamental mixer deliver best-in-class isolation and conversion loss performance with low input power. These new MMIC mixers help increase dynamic range while reducing LO power and subsequent filtering.

Model SBL-5037533550-1515-E1 is a low noise amplifier with a typical small signal gain of 35 dB and a nominal noise figure of 5 dB across the frequency range of 50 to 75 GHz. The DC power requirement for the amplifier is +8 VDC / 150 mA. The mechanical configuration offers an in line structure with WR-15 waveguides and UG-385/U flanges.

Peregrine Semiconductor’s PE45361 is a monolithic structure 8 times smaller than discrete, PIN-diode solutions and eliminates thermal hysteresis. The adjustable input 1dB compression point (limiting threshold) is set from +7 to +13dBm via a low current control voltage (VCTRL).

The amplifier system was tested for MIL-STD-810E Method 514.4 vibration 40 g peak while operational for 270 minutes in each axis. The unit also passed Shock – MIL-STD 810F Method 516.5 3 axes, quantity 18 pulses per direction 11 mSec sawtooth pulse / 40 g peak.
