MilliBox continues to show innovation at IMS2025 in San Francisco Calif., from June 15 to June 20, 2025 at MilliBox booth 226.

MilliBox shows its new ARM01 5 degrees of freedom robotic arm developed in house to expand its capabilities into planar near field scanner applications and RF measurement on wafer probe stations. The demonstration features the 4ft anechoic chamber MBX02C equipped with ARM01 planar prober. The device under test is a satellite communication 8x8 phased array in Ka-Band provided by Extreme Waves.

The demonstration consists of ARM01 executing a planar near field capture sweep of the device under test. Then the near field data acquired with the Copper Mountain Technologies VNA C4209 with FT 1854 extenders is converted to far field data using the integrated software MATEOS from Cornes RF engineering. Applications with very large phased arrays for satellite communication present challenges where near field acquisition is the only practical solution. Now MilliBox has a solution for this situation. There is also a growing demand for measuring radiated emission on wafer probe station and this is something that MilliBox is now addressing.

Larry Davis from Cornes RF engineering stated: “We see a number of cooperation opportunities and synergies between MilliBox product line and that of Cornes RF Engineering, and this demonstration is a clear illustration of this.”
