Anritsu Co. will be publicly demonstrating its new MW82119A PIM Master for the first time at NATE 2013 in Fort Worth, TX, February 18-21. In addition to the MW82119A, which is the industry’s first high-power, battery-operated, portable PIM test analyzer, Anritsu will be displaying its Site Master™ handheld cable and antenna analyzers, and Network Master™ MT9090 optical test platform in its NATE booth (#100).

“Anritsu originated the handheld cable and antenna analyzer a decade ago, helping meet the test needs of professionals who deploy, install, and maintain towers. We continue to lead the way and provide an array of innovative solutions, such as the PIM Master, that meet the testing requirements associated with towers. At NATE 2013, we will be exhibiting some of the tools necessary to ensure optimum network performance,” said David Bolan, Manager, Product Marketing, Anritsu Microwave Measurement Division.

The 700 MHz and 1900 MHz MW82119A PIM Master models will be in Anritsu’s booth throughout NATE. In addition to the models on display, the MW82119A also comes in instruments that cover the 850 MHz, 900 MHz, 1800 MHz, and 1900/2100 MHz bands. All MW82119A analyzers incorporate Anritsu’s patented Distance-To-PIM™ (DTP) technology, allowing tower contractors, maintenance contractors, and wireless service provider field technicians to pinpoint the location of PIM problems, whether they are on the tower or outside the antenna system. The analyzers also test at 40W, which allows the MW82119A to locate faults that conventional 20W test solutions might miss, such as intermittent and power-sensitive PIM problems.

Three Site Master models – the S331L, S332E, and S362E – will be on display, as well. The S331L is an all-inclusive 1-port cable and antenna analyzer covering 2 MHz to 4 GHz, with a built-in InstaCal™ module and a built-in power meter, making it ideal for conducting basic cable/antenna and power measurements. It is designed for contractors, installers, and wireless service providers who need to reduce per site maintenance expenses. The S332E and S362E combine a cable and antenna analyzer with a spectrum analyzer into a single instrument while delivering ease-of-use, rich functionality, and best-in-class price/performance.

Also in the booth will be the Network Master configured with µOTDR and Gigabit Ethernet modules. Field technicians can use the Network Master, which features 1 meter dead zones, an exclusive integrated launch cable, full trace view and complete event table analysis, to accurately and easily detect faults in wireless backhaul optical cables.

In addition to being on display in Anritsu’s booth, these handheld test solutions will also be shown in the booths of Anritsu distributor partners. The S331L, S332E, MW82119A and MT9090 will be in Talley’s booth (#200), while Hutton Communications (booth #401) will be showing the S331L, S332E, and MT9090. Primus Electronics will also be displaying the S331L, S332E, and MT9090 throughout the show.
