Rogers Corp.’s High Performance Foams Division will be exhibiting its range of performance material solutions for railcar applications at the upcoming Innotrans international fair for transport technology, September 18-21, in Berlin (Rogers location at Stand 101 in Hall 3.1).

At the 2012 Innotrans Rogers will be exhibiting its specialty materials for railcar applications including the MF-1Ô, a durable silicone cushion material, along with L3 Première, the next generation in vibration isolation for dynamic and floating floors.  Rogers will also be displaying performance solutions for interior gaskets, seals, gap fillers and acoustic solutions.

BISCO MF-1 is a high quality seating material that enables designers to make thin, durable cushion configurations reducing railcar weight and improving seat durability.  MF-1 meets various international flame, smoke and toxicity (FST) standards. Its exceptional durability reduces life-cycle cost by maintaining its shape and firmness far longer than other cushion materials. Rogers guarantees this performance with a 10-year Performance Warranty.

L3 Première silicone foam, which is 20-percent lighter than its L3 predecessor, was engineered to isolate and reduce vibration in railcar flooring constructions, thereby improving the passenger experience and promoting the durability and longevity of train components.  L3 Première was developed specifically to meet the most stringent FST standards, including NF F 16-101, where the material achieved an M1F0 rating.

Rogers’ booth at Innotrans, shaped like an open railcar, will provide visitors with an interactive experience as they experience seat cushions designed for comfort and durability, examine an exposed floating floor, and experience a noise reduction demonstration using a ball chair.

Rogers’ theme at Innotrans is A Rewarding Experience, one made possible by its BISCO silicone products for railcar applications – engineered materials solutions for use by railcar designers striving to achieve the safest, highest performing and most cost efficient designs all the while providing a comfortable passenger experience to last for years.
