For the fiscal second quarter, Skyworks reported that revenue grew 7 percent year-pver-year (Y/Y) to $913 million, non-GAAP gross margin increased 30 basis points (Y/Y) to 50.7 percent and earnings per share (EPS) grew 13 percent Y/Y to $1.64. The company also disclosed the ban on exporting products to ZTE represents a $25 million to $30 million reduction in annual revenue, mostly from mobile phone products.

Strong demand in Wi-Fi, IoT and defense, coupled with improving demand from China's handset manufacturers, grew Qorvo’s Q4 revenue to $665 million, up 3.5 percent compared to last years’s quarter. For the full year, Qorvo reported just under $3 billion in revenue, down 2 percent from fiscal 2017.

This week, IDT reported 2018 fiscal year revenue of $843 million, 16 percent growth above 2017. Fourth quarter revenue was $225 million, up 4 percent sequentially and 28 percent year-over-year. Among the initiatives to fuel growth, IDT is developing millimeter wave beamforming products for 24, 28 and 39 GHz 5G systems.

MACOM announced it received the first volume production orders for its GaN on Si power devices. The orders are for 50 to 270 W devices for the 2.4 and 3.5 GHz cellular bands.

Apple said it shipped 52.2 million iPhones in fiscal Q2, 2.9 percent more than the prior year’s quarter. The company reported revenue of $61.1 billion, up 16 percent year-over-year.

Keysight Technologies announced PROPSIM F64 5G Channel Emulation Solution, the industry’s first 5G New Radio (NR) channel emulation solution.
