On Oct. 12, 2007, the business known as Sage Laboratories Inc. was acquired by TRU Holdings Inc.
Sage Laboratories Inc. designs and manufactures RF and microwave components and subsystems for technically demanding applications. Sage solutions are targeted to leading edge OEMs and prime contractors in the space, defense, homeland security, medical and commercial markets.
Anthony Cappello, president of Sage, said, “We are very happy to have TRU Holdings Inc. as our new parent. We are jointly developing plans for additional investment in the Sage business to maintain and grow our technical capabilities to better serve our growing customer base. We intend to protect the investment customers have made in Sage’s products by supporting those customers and products for years to come.”
Sage operates from a new 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility located in Hudson, NH, and maintains clean room assembly and extensive dedicated environmental test capability. The company was founded in 1955 and has been a leading-edge provider of unique high performance RF and microwave components and subsystems for over 50 years.
TRU Holdings Inc.’s strategy is to build a diverse group of leading RF and microwave technology companies focused on the design, development and manufacture of innovative solutions across the space, defense and commercial markets. In addition to Sage, TRU Holdings Inc. owns TRU Corp., which provides unique and creative RF and microwave interconnect solutions in the defense and commercial markets. TRU Corp. products include proprietary connector and specialty coaxial cables.
TRU Holdings Inc. is privately funded and is actively pursuing selective investments in other target RF and microwave technology companies.
