Crane Aerospace & Electronics Announces John DiStasio

Crane Aerospace & Electronics, a segment of Crane Co., has announced the appointment of John P. DiStasio, Senior Director of Business Development for Microwave Solutions for the Electronics Group. DiStasio will lead the Microwave Solutions business development team, which includes sites in Beverly, MA, Chandler, AZ, West Caldwell, NJ and San Jose, Costa Rica.

DiStasio comes to Crane Aerospace & Electronics with an extensive background in the microwave industry. He joins us from Cobham – M/A-COM Inc., where he held the position of Director of Field Sales. At Cobham, DiStasio managed the worldwide field sales organization for several years and brings to us valuable leadership and industry experience. DiStasio holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University.

Crane Electronics Inc., Microwave Solutions offers Merrimac and Signal Technology brand RF and microwave products for the defense, space and communications industries for use in radar, electronic warfare, missiles, intelligence and guidance systems.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics is a major supplier of systems and components for critical aerospace and defense applications. These systems and components are designed for some of the toughest environments -- from engines to landing gear; satellites to medical implants; and missiles to unmanned aerial systems (UAS). Product and service offerings are organized in solution sets, and include Cabin Systems, Fluid Management, Landing Systems, Microelectronics, Microwave, Power, and Sensing & Utility Systems. Products are manufactured under the brand names ELDEC, Hydro-Aire, Interpoint, Keltec, Lear Romec, Merrimac, P.L. Porter and Signal Technology.
