The ADF5355 allows implementation of fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizers when used with an external loop filter and an external reference frequency. The wideband microwave VCO design permits frequency operation from 6.8 to 13.6 GHz at one radio frequency (RF) output. Control of all on-chip registers is through a simple 3-wire interface.

The VCO frequency is connected to divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64 circuits.

The PE42542 and PE42543 are HaRP™ technology-enhanced absorptive SP4T RF switches that operate from 9 kHz to 18 GHz and are designed for use in test/ATE, microwave and other wireless applications.

The award presentation was held at the Finmecannica-Selex ES Edinburgh facility in Edinburgh Scotland. Phil Curnock, head of supply chain at the ADS Group; Keysight’s SC21 sponsors Amanda Smith, head of asset management; and Fern Scott, procurement manager for Airbus Defence and Space Limited, presented the award to Keysight Technologies U.K.

Keysight Technologies Inc. announced sponsorship of the B4G MIMO Lab, part of National Taiwan University’s (NTU) High-Speed Radio Frequency and mmWave Center. Keysight also announced that is has joined the B4G/5G Technology Forum. The lab is one of the projects at the center aiming to develop key components used in Beyond 4G and 5G mobile communication systems.

RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for a DOCSIS 3.1 compliant single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) switch from Peregrine Semiconductor. The PE42722 operates from 5 to 1794 MHz. Insertion loss is rated at 0.3 dB while offering up to 50 dB of isolation. Second harmonic performance is -119 dBc at 800 MHz with a 65 dBmV transmit input while the PE42722 third order performance is -138 dBc.

RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for a Ku-Band SPDT switch capable of handling 5 W RF power. The TriQuint TGS4310 offers >20 isolation with a low insertion loss of <1.7 dB. Designed for use by Ku-Band system providers, the TGS4310 supports radar, instrumentation and communication applications.

Linear Technology Corp. announces the LT3668, a 400 mA, 40 V step-down switching regulator with dual tracking LDO outputs packaged in an MSOP-16E. The LT3668 operates from a V_IN range of 4.3 to 40 V with transient protection to 60 V, making it ideal for automotive and industrial applications. Its internal 600 mA switch can deliver up to 400 mA.

Richardson RFPD Inc. announced the availability and full design support capabilities for three converters from Analog Devices Inc. The new devices include a digital-to-analog converter (AD9144), an analog-to-digital converter (AD9625), and a dual analog-to-digital converter (AD9680). All of the devices are suitable for a range of applications.
