Skyworks Solutions Inc. unveils a single control, SOI, single-pole-double-throw switch.  The compact, 0.01 to 6.0 GHz SKY13453-385LF is intended for mode switching in pre-power amplifier cellular and dual-band WLAN transmit/receive applications. It is a reflective short switch that offers high linearity, maintains low insertion loss and achieves high isolation for both switching paths. 

RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for a 6 GHz GaN SPDT switch supporting commercial and military radar, communications, EW, and general purpose applications handling pulsed power levels up to 100 W. TGS2355-SM insertion loss is <1.1 dB yet typical isolation is >40 dB. Switching speed for the TGS2355-SM is in the order of 50 nS.

Custom MMIC announces the addition of the CMD195, a new DC-20 GHz non-reflective SPDT switch, to their growing line of control products. The CMD195 operates across the DC to 20 GHz bandwidth with an insertion loss of 2.5 dB that reduces to 2 dB as the frequency increases. The terminated switch has an isolation of greater than 40 dB and port return losses less than -15 dB.

Switching speed for both is in the order of 50 nS.

RFMW  Ltd. announces design and sales support for Skyworks SKY13453-385LF, a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT), high isolation switch built using SOI technology. The SKY13453-385LF operates over a frequency range of 10 MHz to 6 GHz and can handle up to 2 W of RF input power. Offering high linearity of 57 dBm IP3 and low insertion loss of 0.4 dB, this switch serves T/R functions in applications from white space through dual-band WLAN.

RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for two new Peregrine Semiconductor switches. Both the PE42542 and PE42543 are SP4T switches with operating bandwidth of 9 kHz to 18 GHz. Both switches are capable of handling 10 dBm of RF power at 9 kHz. DC power consumption for both the PE42542 and PE42543 is 120-microamps from a 2.3 to 5.5 V supply.

Vectron International announces the VC-826 differential XO in a 3225 (3.2 x 2.5 mm) package. The VC-826 XO is designed to support applications that require low jitter (under 200 fsec) at standard frequencies from 20 to 170 MHz. Vectron's VC–826 is designed for use with PHY/SERDES, high speed converters, ASICs and FPGAs in communications platforms, medical and industrial markets.
