Rohde & Schwarz and Noisecom have jointly set up a test solution for making Y-factor noise figure measurements in the 60 GHz frequency range. The system, which is much less complex than traditional noise figure measurement systems and does not require downconversion using harmonic mixers, was demonstrated at the...
Presentations at the latest European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) TTCN-3 User Conference demonstrated that the internationally standardized testing language TTCN-3 has gained further ground worldwide in the domains of telecommunication, automotive and medical business. The products of all of these sectors are becoming more and more complex, relying on...
W.L. Gore & Associates Inc. (Gore) announces that Richardson Electronics Ltd. will now sell Gore’s high performance line of Test & Measurement Microwave/RF Cable Assemblies. “Richardson and Gore have built a strong relationship around Gore’s ePTFE and PTFE material technology bringing solutions for EMI grounding and shielding,” said Mark...
Aeroflex announced it expanded its flexible PXI modular test platform with the addition of two new 3020 Series high power and compact RF signal generators. The 3020 Series are compact, high precision PXI modular RF signal generators with integrated dual-channel arbitrary waveform generators ideally suited for R&D manufacturing and...
Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that SATA-IO has certified the Agilent SATA total test solution, which is used by Allion Test Labs. The test platform includes a transmitter, receiver and test automatic software platform. The Serial ATA International Organization (SATA-IO) develops, manages and drives adoption of the Serial ATA specifications....
This paper describes a technique developed by Rohde & Schwarz for the network analyzers of the R&S®ZVA family: It allows high-precision group delay measurements of converters and mixers even without access to the local oscillator or the reference signal. This technique uses a two-tone signal to stimulate the mixer or converter. The phase difference between these two carriers is measured at the input and the output of the DUT (device under test) to calculate the group delay from the phase shift caused by the DUT.
Noisecom , a Wireless Telecom Group Co., introduced the NC5115-60G product line; Noise Figure test sets for the 60 GHz wireless communication band. 60 GHz wireless communication technology is quickly gaining momentum within the wireless industry. This frequency band is suitable for applications that require very high data rates...
Rohde & Schwarz demonstrated new capabilities for evaluating differential (balanced) devices at the International Microwave Symposium. Rohde & Schwarz R&S ZVA and R&S ZVT series of vector network analyzers (VNA) equipped with the R&S ZVA-K6 true differential option can now take advantage of the coherent signal sources to adjust...
