ELVA-1, a European manufacturer of ultra-high capacity millimeter wave point-to-point wireless links, announced the availability of its flagship PPC-10G, 10 Gbps Ethernet radio link, to the U.S. market. Gilland Electronics, of Morgan Hill, Calif., has begun taking orders for the radio.

Agilent Technologies Inc. announced that its 89600 VSA software has been enhanced with custom IQ modulation analysis. The analysis capability speeds time to insight by allowing R&D engineers to more easily test proprietary signals forsatellite and military communication applications.

Aeroflex Ltd. has enhanced its S-Series signal generators (SGA and SGD) with improved phase noise and better RF level accuracy. At a carrier frequency of 1 GHz, phase noise is now improved by 6 dB at frequency offsets from 100 kHz to 1 MHz, giving a figure of typically -140 dBc/Hz between these offsets.

Tektronix Inc., a leading worldwide provider of test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation, introduced the MDO4000B series of mixed domain oscilloscopes that features significantly enhanced spectrum analyzer performance and, when used with Tektronix SignalVu-PC, the industry’s widest bandwidth vector signal analysis capability and deep support for WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/j/n/p/ac testing.  

Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced the next generation of optical modulation analysis software for its family of optical modulation analyzers. The new software makes it easy for photonic engineers to set up tests on their optical modulation analyzers, increasing test efficiency by cutting the number of steps in half. By automating the execution of tests, the software also minimizes testing errors.

Surveillance technology is now even more compact with the launch of Cobham’s ultra small COFDM transmitter, the SOLO7 Nano Transmitter (Nano Tx), designed specifically for specialist video installations and body-worn applications. The same proven and trusted technology featured in Cobham’s range of larger COFDM transmitters has been packed into a tiny transmitter measuring only 58mm x 38mm x 17mm and weighing just 51g.
