Modelithics^® Inc., the leading provider of high-accuracy RF, microwave and millimeter-wave simulation models, announced that Spectrum Control has joined the Modelithics Vendor Partner (MVP) Program as a Sponsoring MVP. Spectrum Control’s Powerfilm surface-mount resistive products include attenuators, resistors and terminations are designed for high-reliability RF and microwave applications. This strategic partnership includes the development of new measurement-based simulation models for Spectrum Control’s passive component portfolio, expanding designers’ access to accurate, production-ready models.

As part of the Sponsoring MVP engagement, Modelithics and Spectrum Control will collaborate on a comprehensive characterization and modeling roadmap covering a range of chip attenuators, broadband chip resistors, microwave chip resistors and terminations, with validated frequency coverage extending from low GHz through 67 GHz. The resulting models will be scalable across substrates, pad geometries and part values where applicable, and will be validated against measured multi-dimensional S-parameter data and device specifications.

Through the MVP Program, Spectrum Control is sponsoring 90-day free trial licenses of the newly developed models to our mutual valued customers. Modelithics will support license distribution, installation and onboarding to help designers quickly identify the benefits of using precision models within their preferred EDA tools.
