Siklu plans to accelerate the introduction of its Terragraph products, announced at Facebook’s TIP Summit ‘19 in Amsterdam. Siklu expects initial field trials during the first quarter of 2020, with commercial deployments by mid-year.
Designed by Facebook, Terragraph is a gigabit wireless technology that operates on the unlicensed 60 GHz band.
Siklu is a leading supplier of mmWave infrastructure equipment, having sold more than 80,000 units deployed in more than 225 “smart” cities. The company’s Terragraph product line is its third-generation of 60 GHz multipoint solutions, which complement its E-Band (70/80 GHz) and 60 GHz point-to-point products.
Siklu also offers software applications for planning, designing, deploying and operating mmWave fixed networks.
“We are excited about bringing to the TG ecosystem our wealth of experience in building and deploying large-scale mmWave networks. This announcement represents a substantial acceleration of the introduction of our TG, 60 GHz fixed 5G systems.” — Ronen Ben-Hamou, CEO of Siklu
