Cobham Antenna Systems has expanded its range of wideband, omnidirectional antennas for electronic warfare (EW) applications. In a release, the company featured three new products:
OA-0.4-6.0V/2090 — A wideband, discone antenna covering 380 MHz to 6 GHz, capable of handling 100 W CW. This rugged, low profile antenna has an integrated ground plane, making it suitable for multiple applications, especially for ground-to-air coverage.
OA2-1.76-6.0V/2406 — A rugged, wideband antenna covering 1.76 to 6 GHz, capable of handling 50 W CW. This center-fed antenna does not require a ground plane; the peak gain is on the horizon across the frequency range.
OA-0.03-0.50V/2425 — A spring-mounted whip antenna for vehicles, covering 30 to 512 MHz and capable of handling up to 200 W CW. The performance depends on mounting and the resulting ground plane.
Cobham Antenna Systems has produced antennas for the EW market for over 20 years and offers a full range of wideband omnidirectional antennas, including manpack, body, vehicle, UAV and ground robot. Cobham Antenna Systems also offers a range of directional antennas covering 300 MHz to 27 GHz, which are used for EW and surveillance applications.
