MegiQ has developed two affordable calibration kits for allow SMA and system measurements. First, the SMA-CAL-6F full SMA calibration kit operates from DC to 6 GHz and comes with a full set of calibration elements: Open-Short-Load in both Male and Female version.
It also contains the Male-Male and Female-Female Through elements. Calibration coefficients and individually measured characteristics of the Load elements are supplied on a USB stick. This allows for a load accuracy of better than 40 dB. This kit comes with two 30 cm SMA Male to Male cables and SMA wrench tools.
The second new product is the SMA-CAL-6B basic SMA calibration kit for DC to 6 GHz, which contains male Open-Short-Load elements, as well as a Male-Male and Female-Female Through element. The FF-Through allows using the OSL elements for male port calibration.
Calibration coefficients are supplied but the male elements can be used without the coefficients with a reasonable accuracy. The return loss of the Load element is 32 dB. The kit also comes with two 30 cm SMA Male to Male cables and SMA wrench tools.
