ADI_hmc557a_hmc773a_PRPhotoGeneral purpose, double balanced mixers with optimized balun structures

Richardson RFPD Inc. announced the availability and full design support capabilities for two GaAs MMIC fundamental mixers from Analog Devices, Inc.

The HMC557A is a general-purpose, double balanced mixer in a 24-lead, ceramic 4 mm x 4 mm LCC package that can be used as an up-converter or down-converter from 2.5 GHz to 7.0 GHz and requires no external components or matching circuitry. The HMC557A provides excellent local oscillator (LO) to radio frequency (RF) and LO to intermediate frequency (IF) isolation due to optimized balun structures. It is suitable for fixed wireless, point-to-point and point-to-multipoint radios, test equipment and sensors, and military end use applications.

The HMC773A general-purpose, double balanced mixer, available in a 24-lead, ceramic 3 mm x 3 mm LCC package, can be used as an up-converter or down-converter from 6 GHz to 26 GHz and also requires no external components or matching circuitry. Optimized balun structures result in excellent LO-to-RF and LO-to-IF suppression, and the mixer operates with LO drive levels above +13 dBm. The HMC773A is suitable for point-to-point and point-to multipoint radios and VSAT, test equipment and sensors, and military end use applications.
