KRYTAR Inc., a leader in the design and production of ultra-broadband microwave components and test equipment announces the continued expansion of its ine of directional couplers with a new model offering 6 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 2 to 20 GHz, in a single, compact and lightweight package.
KRYTAR’s latest addition enhances the selection of multi-purpose, stripline designs that exhibit excellent coupling over a broadband frequency range of 2.0 to 20.0 GHz. Model 102020006 expands the family of KRYTAR’s superior performance products.
This new coupler is uniquely designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. KRYTAR couplers offer solutions for many applications including electronic warfare (EW), commercial wireless, SATCOM, radar, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beam forming, and EMC testing environments. For many space-restricted applications the compact size makes KRYTAR directional couplers ideal solutions.
KRYTAR’s new coupler, Model 102020006, offers superior performance ratings including Nominal Coupling (with respect to output) of 6 dB, ±1.0 dB, and Frequency Sensitivity of ±0.35 dB. The directional coupler exhibits Insertion Loss (including coupled power) of less than 1.9 dB, Directivity of greater than 16 dB, Maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.35, Input Power Rating is 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The directional coupler comes with industry-standard 2.4-mm SMA female connectors. The compact package measures 2.08 inches (L) x 0.69 inches (W) x 0.53 inches (H), and weigh just 1.7 ounces. Operating temperature is -54° to 85° C. This new directional coupler can also be manufactured to meet ridged military specifications.
