Rogers Corp. will be promoting its high performance printed-circuit-board (PCB) materials at the DesignCon® 2014 expo. The event is being held January 29-30, 2014 at the Santa Clara Convention Center (Santa Clara, CA). The DesignCon 2014 Expo ( provides practical solutions for semiconductor and electronic design engineers from more than 150 of the top suppliers in the electronic industry.

Representatives from Rogers Corp. ( will be on hand at DesignCon Booth 720 with advice and guidance on the best use of the Company’s PCB materials for digital and analog circuits, including RO4000® series circuit materials for high performance digital and analog circuit designs.

RO4000 series circuit materials include RO4003C™ laminates, with a dielectric loss tangent of 0.0027 at 10 GHz, and RO4350B™ laminates, with a dielectric loss tangent of 0.0037 at 10 GHz. RO4000 series materials feature a low z-axis coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) over a wide temperature range for reliable plated-through-hole performance in multilayer circuits. RO4000 LoPro™ circuit materials are ideal for applications requiring low insertion loss characteristics. With its stable temperature coefficient of dielectric constant, RO4000 LoPro circuit materials maintain consistent impedance across wide frequency and temperature ranges, for predictable and reliable broadband performance from Digital through RF and microwave frequencies.    

In addition to the exhibition, Rogers is also supporting the conference side of DesignCon 2014 with a workshop at 1:30 p.m. on January 28th: “Practical Measurements of Dielectric and Loss of PCB Materials at High Frequencies,” will be presented by Dupont’s Glenn Oliver and Rogers Corporation’s John Coonrod.

Visitors to Booth 720 can also learn about the latest versions of Rogers’ Calculator tools, including the Microwave Impedance (MWI) calculator application for both personal computers (PCs) and iPads.
