Kaelus, a Smiths Interconnect business announced that as a result of best practice industry research, Frost & Sullivan has recognized Kaelus with the 2012 Global Market Share Leadership Award in Passive Intermodulation Test Equipment for capturing the highest market share within its industry.
Kaelus was the first company to market a Passive Intermodulation (PIM) tester in 1996 under the brand of Summitek. Since then, the competitive landscape has changed significantly. However, despite the entrance of new companies in the market, some of which are large and benefit from significant brand recognition in the Wireless Field Test Industry, Frost & Sullivan’s research affirms that Kaelus has maintained a very significant leadership position in the PIM Testing space.
Frost & Sullivan estimated the company’s revenues in the PIM Test Equipment market to be over 5 times that of its closest competitor. This is due to a multitude of factors including Kaelus’ large PIM test product portfolio featuring products specifically developed to cater to the unique needs of key end-users groups, its ability to innovate (enabled by an acute focus on PIM testing), and its focus on understanding the users’ environment by providing leading application and service support.
“Kaelus is honored to receive this recognition from Frost & Sullivan, and it is exciting to see the attention on such a specific but critical product to our industry”, said Jacqui McLaughlin, President of Kaelus. “Innovation is what we are known for, and Kaelus will be launching our latest advancement in portable PIM Testing technology at the MWC show in Barcelona this February. Based on feedback from field testing, we are confident that this new product will change the way we look at PIM testing in the future.”
