Mentor Graphics Corp. announced it has strengthened its automotive software solution by purchasing the AUTOSAR assets, including the Mecel Picea AUTOSAR Development Suite, from Mecel AB.

P1dB Inc., a leading manufacturer of RF and microwave coaxial connectors, cable assemblies, adapters and terminations, is introducing a full line of low-PIM adapters within their P1LP-ADP line. Available for 7/16 and Type N within-series applications and 7/16 between-series (Type N and SMA) applications, the new high-performance line of adapters complements P1dB’s high quality low-PIM cable assemblies.

Agilent announced the newest version of its Command Expert software for faster and easier instrument control in many test application development environments.

Wearable technology will be characterized by the diversity of products, but only the product categories with a clear use-case and therefore target audience will succeed. ABI Research projects the wearable device sales volumes in 2014 to come from healthcare and sports and activity trackers. While, the commercial launch of several smart glass products, including Google Glass will continue to drive interest in the wearable space, it will not be a significant commercial success in 2014.
