Richardson RFPD Inc. announces immediate availability and full design support capabilities for a new digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices Inc. (ADI). The AD5780 is a true 18-bit, unbuffered voltage output DAC that operates from a bipolar supply of up to 33 V, offers a relative accuracy specification of ±1 LSB maximum range, and guarantees monotonic operation with a ±1 LSB DNL maximum range specification.

Linear Technology Corp. announces the LT3959, a highly versatile DC/DC converter for boost, SEPIC and inverting power supply applications.

Linear Technology announces the LTC6417, a fully differential buffer amplifier with only 1.5nV/√Hz output-referred noise. The LTC6417 is capable of driving a differential 50 Ohm load and is optimized for driving 14- and 16-bit pipeline ADCs. It can be DC- or AC-coupled at its inputs, and achieves excellent distortion performance for signals up to and beyond 600 MHz. At 140 MHz, OIP3 is 46 dBm, and HD3 is -69 dBc with 2.4 VP-P output swing into a 50Ohm load.

Agilent Technologies Inc. introduced the world’s fastest vector signal generator in a PXI form factor. The Agilent M9381A is a 1-MHz to 3- or 6-GHz VSG that combines fast switching and excellent RF parametric performance.

Hittite Microwave Corp. launched three new GaAs pHEMT MMIC power amplifiers which cover the 9 to 14 GHz frequency range and are ideal for microwave radio, military and space, SATCOM and test and measurement applications.

Linear Technology announces the LTC6431-15, a 15.5 dB gain block that achieves high dynamic range in a 50 Ohm environment from 20 MHz to 1 GHz and beyond. It is manufactured on an advanced SiGe process and is available in two performance grades. 

NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced two 5V wideband IQ modulator devices that combine high dynamic range with fast on/off switching performance for use in radio frequency up-conversion. Operating between 400 MHz and 4 GHz, the BGX7100 and BGX7101consume less than 1 W power – 10-percent more efficient than other solutions on the market today.

For generating synthesized millimeter wave signals, OML announces source module compatibility with the best-in-class Anritsu MG3690C series of RF/Microwave signal generators. This solution offers engineers an innovative tool for design characterization, performance verification and system emulation where output power, spectral purity, pulse widths and switching speed are desirable attributes.
