Auriga Measurement Systems LLC and WIN Semiconductors announced their modeling collaboration for the release of WIN’s new Ku- and Ka-band GaAs PHEMT process. Auriga’s nonlinear Large Signal Model (LS6) will be offered and distributed by WIN to its PP-25 customers. The models were validated against load-pull measurements and accurately represent the small and large signal transistor performance.

“We’re really excited about our new process and have already received great feedback from the field on the PP-25 product line,” said Gary St. Onge, Vice President of Technical Marketing at WIN Semiconductors. “By providing our customers with customized Auriga models, we hope to move our customers closer to ‘one-pass’ designing.”

“We have a great relationship with WIN and are very glad to be part of the successful introduction of their PP-25 process,” said Ted Lewis, Vice President of Auriga. “Having good models are critical for effective designing and in today’s economy ensuring, first pass success is more important than ever. We take pride in our models and work very diligently to stay current with changes in device performance. When we get the opportunity to be an integral part of a foundry’s introduction of a new process, like this one, it is very exciting to our entire team.”

WIN PP-25 PHEMT models are available in Agilent’s ADS and AWR’s Microwave Office formats.
