Cisco has a dominating presence in North America and European markets, but is increasingly losing ground from close competition from ZTE in APAC, Latin America, and MEA. Aruba grabs the 3rd position by marginally beating HP Procurve with a stronger presence in North America and Europe with little or no presence in Asia and Latin American markets.
Adarsh Krishnan, senior analyst, TV, video and broadband comments, “Increasing bandwidth requirement continues to drive 802.11n (Dualband) wireless protocol while the market slowly starts to adopt its successor and more advanced 802.11ac protocol in the enterprise WLAN market.”
In the Consumer/SOHO WLAN market segment TP-LINK dominates the equipment market, taking the lion’s share of the APAC market and is becoming a growing presence in other regions. Netgear takes the 2nd spot with a strong market share in North America and Europe followed by D-Link.
