Keysight Technologies Inc. announced it is collaborating with the University of Bristol on 5G millimeter-wave research. The two organizations are already deeply involved in the 5G ecosystem in Europe and the U.S. and now will be working closely together on multiple 5G millimeter-wave technologies. 

 Skyworks Solutions, Inc., an innovator of high performance analog semiconductors connecting people, places and things, announced that it is expanding production capacity in Japan to meet the growing demand for its filter technology. Skyworks is facilitizing a two-story, 405,000 square foot facility in Osaka that will house the design, development and manufacture of filter devices to complement its industry leading front-end solutions and world-class assembly, test and packaging capabilities.  

 Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced the availability of real-time spectrum analysis (RTSA) as an option for its standards-compliant MXE EMI receiver. Adding RTSA to an MXE enables test labs to observe and diagnose transient and wideband emissions during electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) compliance and precompliance testing. 

Micro-Coax announces the expansion of its RF test capabilities to 110 GHz. The company has taken delivery of the new equipment and is currently training their technical staff to fully leverage the capability.

Agilent Technologies Inc. announced a series of enhancements for its MXA and EXA X-Series signal analyzers. The enhancements are ideal for engineers performing wireless communications and general-purpose testing at various phases of the product life cycle, from R&D and design verification to manufacturing and installation.

Spectracom, a business of the Orolia Group, announces it has extended its global service capability through a partnership with EZU Technologies. Joining Spectracom  service centers in North America and Europe, EZU Technologies will support Spectracom users throughout the Asia-Pacific region from their facility in Hong Kong. Initially services will include equipment calibration and repair services.

Pre-launch preparations for the Sentinel-1A satellite, carrying an Airbus Defence and Space built radar instrument, are in full swing at Europe´s Kourou Spaceport in French Guiana. The satellite will mark a new era of Earth observation.

MBDA has successfully demonstrated its Dual Mode BRIMSTONE missile on an MQ-9 REAPER Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), scoring nine direct hits against a range of targets including very high speed and manoeuvring vehicles.
