Texas Instruments Inc. announced the election of Haviv Ilan to senior vice president of High Performance Analog (HPA), succeeding Steve Anderson, who will now lead TI Analog overall. Texas Instruments and Netas, a Turkish based value-added systems integration and technology services company in the fields of information and communications, announced their collaboration on an LTE-Advanced (LTE-A) macro base station for a new public safety network commissioned by the government of Turkey. Netas has selected TI's KeyStoneTM-based wireless infrastructure System-on-Chip (SoC), the TCI6638K2K, for the baseband processing in the solution, while implementing its own proprietary software.

Texas Instruments introduced the industry’s highest-performance 14 GHz fractional-N PLLatinum® phased-locked loop (PLL) with advanced frequency modulation. The LMX2492 offers the industry’s best noise performance, 6 dB better than the nearest competitor, for improved radio frequency (RF) sensitivity and radar range and accuracy. The device also supports a 200 MHz phase frequency detector, a 5 V charge pump supply and a wide operating frequency range of 500 MHz to 14 GHz. The LMX2492 is offered in industrial and automotive grade (class 1) for military and automotive radar, microwave backhaul, communications, and test and measurement applications. Texas Instruments (TI) introduced the SimpleLink™ CC2592 range extender that provides up to a 7x improvement in range when paired with TI’s 2.4 GHz low power RF solutions for ZigBee®, 802.15.4, 6LoWPAN and Bluetooth® low energy networks. The first launched pairing is the CC2592 with the SimpleLink ZigBee CC2538 wireless microcontroller (MCU) to speed time to market of ZigBee-enabled equipment.

Texas Instruments (TI), and Nokia Solutions and Networks (NSN), the world's specialist in mobile broadband, announced their collaboration on NSN's next generation of indoor small cell base stations.  Based on NSN's Flexi Zone suite of products, the new indoor small cell base stations are expected to support a record 400 active indoor users, compared to 32 users supported today, in a power over Ethernet envelope.

Texas Instruments (TI) announced the SimpleLink™ Sub-1 GHz CC1200 transceiver, an extension to TI’s RF performance line family.
