RFMW Ltd. announces design and sales support for the PE43705, a 7-bit, 31.75 dB digital step attenuator from Peregrine Semiconductor. The PE43705 offers an extremely wide operational frequency range of 50 MHz to 8 GHz. Internal circuitry manages unequal ON/OFF switch times providing a “glitch safe” design by eliminating the unknown attenuation issue that plagues other DSAs.

This new PXI 10A power multiplexer (model 40-661) is available in a variety of configurations ranging from 8 off 4:1 multiplexers to 1 off 32:1 multiplexer. Each multiplexer is capable of hot switching up to 10 A at 30 VDC and has a maximum DC hot switch rating of 125 VDC. AC signals up to 250 VAC at 10 A can be switched. For cold switching applications the 40-661 is capable of withstanding 400 VDC.

AtlanTecRF has two models of Zero Bias Schottky Detectors with high sensitivity and a wide operating temperature range. The first two frequency ranges offered are 10 MHz to 18 GHz and 2.0 to 8.0 GHz, both with sensitivity of 500 mV/mW and TSS of -50 dBm. Flatness over the 10 MHz to 18 GHz frequency band is +/-1.25 dB max and VSWR for each unit is 2.0:1.

The HAFM Series of active multipliers is available in models ranging from 30 to 100 GHz. A wide variety of multiplication factors from X2 up to X6 provide the customer with design flexibility for many applications. Basic multiplier circuits can be cascaded to achieve higher order multiplication factors.

Renaissance has developed a new coaxial isolator that operates from 2 to 8 GHz in a single compact package size. Typical insertion loss is 0.5 dB and at band edges, the loss typically is 1.0 dB at room temperature. With return loss and isolation tuned to 14 dB at room temperature, this unit is ideal for EW Jammer type applications.

To protect expensive high power amplifiers operating at X-Band, Renaissance has developed a new broadband coaxial isolator that operates from 9 to 9.6 GHz and can handle 50 W reflected power. Insertion loss of 0.5 dB is maintained over -40 to +85 C.The reflected power is dissipated to the mounting surface with an extended heat sink that must be maintained below 50 C for CW operations.

Richardson RFPD Inc. announces that it is accepting orders for five new discrete GaN transistors from TriQuint. The new discrete gallium nitride (GaN) on silicon carbide (SiC) high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMTs) offer a range of pulsed output power covering 10 to 285 W, with operating ranges from DC to 6 GHz.

Narda offers a wide range of PIN diode based limiters. The wideband limiters that are part of this line cover 1 to 18 GHz in one band. They support power handling up to 6000 W of pulsed power. The limiters were designed to meet severe environmental conditions for airborne and other applications.

Model SWN-2DR-STD is a SPDT solid state reflective switch capable of operating from 8 to 18 GHz and handling 40 W of CW power. The switch has a maximum insertion loss of 2 dB, VSWR of 2.0:1 maximum and an isolation of >40 dB. It has a maximum switching speed of 150 nsec. Switching rate is 500 kHz max. Input and output connectors are SMA (F) with solder pins for TTL and power supplies.
