Innovation is a major focal point at EDI CON USA 2016, which will bring together industry leaders to discuss creative ways to address today’s engineering challenges in RF, microwave, and high-speed digital design. Tom Sikina, principal engineering fellow at Raytheon Co. will be giving the plenary keynote this year, “Innovation in Phased Arrays; Past, Present, and Future” on Tuesday, September 20^th. In advance of Tom’s talk, I thought it might be interesting to get to know him better, so I asked him to help kick off our Profiles in Innovation series.

This panel of experts from modeling, device and measurement companies will debate how to design, manufacture and test 5G mmWave components and systems as trials are already underway, well ahead of the 2020 standards development schedule. EDI CON USA 2016 announces it sold-out its show floor, with a total of 138 exhibiting companies from the RF, microwave, and high-speed digital industries. As a result, the show management has issued a second floor expansion. There is also limited availability for a demo pod in the Signal Integrity Zone.
