Keysight Technologies, Inc. announced their plan to help accelerate the deployment of Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. IoT capabilities is expected to help connect billions of devices with applications—such as smart homes, connected cars, healthcare and smart cities; as well as industrial applications, including energy systems, agriculture and transportation.

Anaren IoT Group announced that Intel has selected Atmosphere 2.0, the company’s leading IoT platform for rapid prototyping and design.  The Intel Curie module is now available as a design element within Atmosphere, both at the module level and within devices like the Arduino 101 development board and the element14 tinyTILE from Premier Farnell. 

The Keysight U3800 Series Internet of Things (IoT) applied courseware includes ready-to-teach materials focused on practical IoT design and test techniques. The courseware was developed as a resource for educators with a goal of ensuring students are well-prepared to meet the challenges of today's IoT industry.

ON Semiconductor Corporation is acquiring and licensing millimeter wave technology developed by IBM’s Haifa, Israel research team. ON Semiconductor will use the technology for automotive radar applications. The acquisition includes staff, equipment, research facilities and IP that will form a new design center for ON Semiconductor in Haifa.
