Keysight Technologies is hosting a complimentary 5G Symposium on Sept. 3. Keysight technical experts will discuss the test and metrology challenges regarding current and future 5G standards development, technical requirements, tools and solutions.

Keysight Technologies Inc. affirmed its technology leadership in 5G wireless research with the introduction of the 5G channel sounding Reference Solution. The new Reference Solution is designed for accelerating advanced research of millimeter-wave 5G channel models and includes ultra-broadband and MIMO, key requirements to measure the millimeter-wave channel and validate new air interface standards.

Europe reached a major milestone on the road towards 5G with the launch of the first phase projects of the European 5G Public Private Partnership (5G-PPP) on 1 July 2015. Huawei is a key contributor to this joint effort. The 5G-PPP initiative is expected to leverage a total of €3.5 billion in private investment, boosted by €700 million in EU funding.
