Elbit Systems Ltd. announced that it was awarded a contract valued at approximately $103 million to supply comprehensive Electronic Warfare (EW) suites for an Air Force of an Asian country. Under the contract, Elbit Systems will fit the customer’s helicopters with complete EW suites, including countermeasure systems. The EW suites will provide the helicopters with advanced protection to achieve the customer’s operational requirements.

Thales Alenia Space announced the signature of a contract with AVIO S.p.A., industrial prime contractor of VEGA launch vehicle, in the frame of LEAP1 program of the European Space Agency (ESA), concerning the initial phases of design, development and qualification of a tracking and data relay satellite (TDRS) transmitter, targeting an improvement of VEGA telemetry system both in terms of cost and performance.

Mercury Systems announced the SpectrumSeries™ RFM3103s wideband dual up-converter, which supports the sensor open systems architecture (SOSA) technical standard for electronic warfare (EW) environments. Mercury will accept orders for RFM3103s modules in the third quarter of this year.
