CableLabs Releases DOCSIS 4.0 Specification

Includes full duplex and 1.8 GHz bandwidth for upstream and downstream

CableLabs has released the DOCSIS 4.0 standard, which incorporates full duplex capability and expansion of the spectrum to 1.8 GHz for both downstream and upstream data. Compared to the current standard, DOCSIS 3.1, DOCSIS 4.0 increases the downstream and upstream data rates by 2x and 4x, respectively.
