Elcoteq SE, an integrated electronics manufacturing services company in the communications technology industry, which is headquartered in Finland, has announced that its manufacturing plant in Bangalore, India has received the prestigious 2007-2008 ELCINA - Dun & Bradstreet first place award for Excellence in Environment Management.


ELCINA – the Electronic Industries Association of India – was established in 1967 and is India's oldest and largest electronics association. The awards for Excellence in Electronics Hardware Manufacturing and Services recognize the achievements of electronics/IT manufacturing companies in India. The selection committee was comprised of senior government officials and industry representatives who selected Elcoteq based on an elaborate, well-structured evaluation system that encompassed 1,000 aspects of business in relation to environmental management.

Elcoteq Bangalore was inaugurated in 2005 and is one of the company’s four volume manufacturing plants in the Asia-Pacific region. Along with manufacturing services, the plant also supports OEMs with fully integrated solutions comprised of collaborative design, manufacturing, engineering services, sourcing, demand and supply chain management, and after-sales services (product repair and product recycling) for the entire lifecycle of its customers’ products.
