Leading independent supplier of electronic components, Rebound Electronics (UK) Ltd., has acquired Hungerford-based Delta Impact Ltd. for an undisclosed sum. The announcement follows an intensive process from which the agreement was reached to take on existing operations, staff and both of Delta’s UK-based facilities. The acquisition confirms that Rebound is on course with its plans to build increased and localized expertise and service portfolios targeted to provide real added value to its growing customer base.

Rebound Electronics is an independent supplier of electronic components with global sourcing and supply capabilities. It is able to service the ever increasing needs of the electronics industry from MRP requirements and cost reduction programs to shortage and excess management. The company also has extensive test facilities in China and has forged strong relationships with many blue chip OEMs and CEMs. It is a robust, profitable company, turning over in excess of £24 M in 2007, a figure that has grown consistently since it was established in 2003.

With Delta Impact now part of the group, Rebound Electronics can continue to expand its service offering and geographical reach by working closely with its customers and recognizing the need to continually provide enhanced services. The ability to provide turnkey product solutions and global market pricing that is both realistic and workable is core to the group’s long-term strategy. Delta Impact will continue to trade as an independent entity.

Commenting on the initiative, Simon Thake, Rebound’s group managing director, said, “This acquisition represents a significant step forward towards our goal of becoming Europe’s largest independent supplier of electronics components and supply chain management. Delta is a successful company employing around 42 staff across two sites and has an annual turnover of £8 M. The group’s initial focus will be to maintain stability and develop a strategic growth plan that will enhance the services that we can offer to all of our customers.”
