ELVA-1 has always considered European Microwave Week to be one of the most important events for the company to showcase its existing and planned microwave products and solutions to customers and suppliers. It attracts a focused audience lured by a large number of exhibitors collectively presenting a vast range of microwave products.

We have been attending EuMW for many years and must have been one of the first eastern European companies to do so. We continue to be excited by the opportunity to present our latest technology developments to current and prospective customers face to face. It is also the perfect chance for us to interact and to learn more about other producers of millimetre-wave products and new microwave technologies and to gain a better understanding of market requirements.

Many high-tech applications either use or are beginning to use millimetre-wave technologies and equipment. Constant effort is being put into exploiting higher frequency bands for various reasons, including the limited number of available frequency channels. This activity is key to ELVA-1, which supplies millimetre-wave and sub-millimetre-wave components, sub-systems and solutions in the 16 to 180 GHz frequency range and devices for higher frequencies up to 1,200 GHz.

Applications include mm-wave industrial measurement systems (e.g. microwave level sensors, radar front-ends), equipment for scientific research (e.g. spectroscopy equipment, components and sub-systems for plasma diagnostics) and wireless high-speed communication systems (100 Mbps\1 Gbps Ethernet wireless LAN bridges, MVDS outdoor units and LMDS communication systems). Both ELVA-1 and European Microwave Week share the aim of presenting the technologies that are available today, while also highlighting those that will be developed in the future.
