KRYTAR, Inc. announced two new directional couplers operating in the wideband frequency range of 7.125 to 15.35 GHz (C- thru Ku-Bands). The directional couplers are designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. The new directional couplers are uniquely suited for the emerging mmWave and 6G markets. These new KRYTAR directional couplers offer the tightest specifications available on the market.
Model 107125-1535-10 offers nominal coupling of 10 ±1.0 dB, frequency sensitivity of ±0.3 dB, insertion loss (including coupled power) of <1.1 dB, directivity of >13 dB, maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.4 and input power rating of 20 W average and 3 kW peak.
Model 107125-1535-20 offers nominal coupling of 20 ±1.0 dB, frequency sensitivity of ±0.3 dB, insertion loss (including coupled power) of <0.7 dB, directivity of >14 dB, maximum VSWR (any port) is 1.4 and input power rating of 20 W average and 3 kW peak.
Both directional couplers come with industry-standard 3.5 mm female connectors and optional 3.5 mm male connectors. The compact packages measure just 1.12 (L) x 0.53 (W) x 0.64 (H) in. and weigh only 1.1 ounces. Operating temperature is -54°C to +85°C.
KRYTAR Directional Couplers are designed for systems applications where external leveling, precise monitoring, signal mixing or swept transmission and reflection measurements are required. KRYTAR Directional Couplers offer excellent solutions for many ultra-broadband applications including electronic warfare, mmWave, 6G, 5G NR, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, satcom, radar, MIMO radio links, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beamforming and EMC testing environments. The couplers can be also be manufactured to meet military specifications.
