Z-Communications, Inc. announced the launch of the CRO6000X2-LF. This new C-Band oscillator is engineered to meet the stringent demands of modern radar, satcom and next-generation Wi-Fi applications by delivering a spectrally clean signal with superior spectral purity.
The CRO6000X2-LF provides a fixed RF output of 6000 MHz and operates within a tuning voltage range of 0-3 Vdc. This low tuning range ensures seamless compatibility with many of the most popular phase locked loop (PLL) ICs currently on the market. Key technical highlights of the new oscillator include:
- Exceptional Phase Noise: Features a value of -107 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset, providing the clean signal required for high-sensitivity designs
- Low Power Consumption: Operates at a "miserly" supply current of 25 mA from a standard 5 Vdc supply
- Harmonic Suppression: Delivers a typical 2nd harmonic suppression of -25 dBc
- Compact Form Factor: Housed in Z-COMM’s industry-standard MINI package (0.5 x 0.5 x 0.22 in.), making it ideal for space-constrained production environments.
"The CRO6000X2-LF is specifically designed for applications where signal clarity and efficiency are paramount," said the company. "By aligning our tuning voltage with common PLL architectures, we are simplifying the integration process for engineers developing the next generation of high-frequency wireless equipment."
The device is available on tape and reel for automated production. Detailed technical specifications and VCO product catalogs are available through the Z-Communications website.
