KRYTAR, Inc. announced two new ULTRA+ 180-Degree Hybrid Couplers that deliver 3 dB of coupling over the frequency range of 10.0 to 40.0 GHz in compact packages. KRYTAR’s new family of ULTRA+ 180-Degree 3 dB Hybrid Couplers offer the tightest specifications available on the market.
KRYTAR’s new ULTRA+ hybrid couplers Model ULTRA4100400 and Model ULTRA4100400K deliver exceptional broadband versatility from 10.0 to 40.0 GHz (X- though Ka-Bands) with excellent phase and amplitude matching. Typical specifications include 3 dB coupling; amplitude imbalance: ±0.9 dB; phase imbalance is ±8 degrees; isolation is >15 dB; maximum VSWR: 1.65 and insertion loss of < 1.5 dB. These new models perform many functions, including splitting and combining signals in amplifiers, switching circuits and antenna beamforming networks used in a wide range of commercial and military applications.
Both Model ULTRA4100400 and Model ULTRA4100400K offer an input power rating of 20 W average and 3 kW peak. The ULTRA4100400 comes with industry-standard 2.4 mm female connectors, while ULTRA4100400K comes with industry-standard 2.9 mm (K) female connectors. The compact packages measure just 1.10 (L) x 0.86 (W) x 0.50 (H) in. and weigh only 1.2 ounces. Operating temperature is -54°C to 85°C. These couplers are typically available from stock to 30 days, ARO.
KRYTAR’s new line of high performance ULTRA+ 180 Degree Hybrid Couplers offer ultra-wideband frequency coverage from 0.5 to 40 GHz (UHF- through Ka-Bands) in single, compact packages and offer low insertion loss, high directivity and tight coupling. These hybrid couplers offer excellent solutions for many ultra-broadband applications including electronic warfare (EW), mmWave, 6G, 5G New Radio (NR), Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E, satcom, radar, MIMO radio links, signal monitoring and measurement, antenna beamforming and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing environments. The couplers can also be manufactured to meet military specifications.
