Ericsson and T-Mobile Czech Republic have signed a framework agreement for the supply of the company’s Mini-Link microwave transmission solution to provide a platform for flexible, scalable and cost-effective wireless transmission. The microwave transmission solution will enable the operator to offer Czech consumers a wide range of services and to meet the demand for network capacity driven by the increasing number of subscribers and the uptake of new data services in the country. The agreement includes the new Mini-Link TN that allows optimization on both network and sites, resulting in a more cost efficient network.

The Mini-Link solution offers an efficient traffic aggregation, easy capacity expansion, and improved service quality and network control. It supports a variety of optional features, enabled by Soft Keys and offers great flexibility in transmission networks for broadband applications. The agreement also includes a complete set of services including installation, integration, warehousing and hardware support.

Heinz Schmid, CTO, T-Mobile Czech Republic, said, "We have chosen Ericsson as their transmission solution offers a unique flexibility for capacity and the support for the necessary voice and data traffic."

In response, Roman Stupka, president, Ericsson Czech Republic, commented, "This new agreement takes our relationship with T-Mobile Czech Republic to a new level and confirms our position as a leader in microwave transmission solutions provision in the Czech Republic."
