NXT Communications Corporation (NXTCOMM) announced key management appointments as the Georgia-based connectivity company continues to build out its team.

David Kozlowski has been named vice president of Aero Structures and Certification, with responsibility for overseeing installation, testing and certification of NXTCOMM’s AeroMax® antenna on commercial aircraft, reporting to Dave Horton, chief executive officer. In addition, Rob Davies will serve as director, Product Engineering, reporting to Carl Novello, CTO, and Jordan Klein has been named creative director, reporting to Horton.

With four decades of aircraft modification and maintenance experience, Kozlowski joins NXTCOMM from Panasonic Avionics, where he spent a decade holding key roles in installation and product management. He oversaw successful Supplemental Type Certificate approvals for Panasonic’s Global Communications Suite  inflight connectivity systems on Boeing and Airbus commercial and VIP aircraft.

At NXTCOMM he will similarly manage all logistics for securing STC approvals for the company’s AeroMax antenna and manage key Maintenance and Repair Organization partnerships.

“The logistics of getting customer aircraft fleets installed rapidly requires every aspect to be done efficiently and quickly while working collaboratively with our MRO partners,” said Kozlowski, who is focused on dramatically reducing the industry’s installation timelines. “I'm most excited to work for an agile, result-oriented company with the emphasis on customer success.”

Davies brings nearly 15 years of product management expertise in the antenna, asset tracking, security and contract manufacturing industries to his role at NXTCOMM. He will oversee the software development and testing of NXTCOMM’s line of electronically steerable antennas, as well as guide efforts to enhance the manufacturability of the panel.

Davies most recently held technical product and systems engineering roles at satellite antenna provider Intellian Technologies, Inc., where he drove improvements to existing antennas leading to better performance. Davies previously founded R&D Technologies, which developed one of the first digital video recorders that enabled digital time-lapse and transmission in the security markets.

“I love taking technology from a concept to a product. My focus is to get NXTCOMM’s antennas to a consumer level at an affordable price with good quality,” Davies said.

NXTCOMM’s new Creative Director, Jordan Klein, will bring the company’s capabilities to life visually across all marketing assets while also providing user interface design and hardware design support to product engineering. Klein brings more than a decade of creative design experience, including owning his own agency focused on product design, software development and brand identity for clients in the defense, tech and hospitality industries.

“Coming from the startup, software development and agency world, you don’t get to dig your talents in the way you can by focusing on one company and one vision,” said Klein. “I bring innovative ideas to help NXTCOMM develop products that look and function great. I’m especially excited about the potential of our technology to touch every aspect of consumers’ lives.”

“Dave, Rob and Jordan all bring unique strengths and talent to NXTCOMM at this critical stage of our company’s development as we look to begin initial rate production of our connectivity antenna solutions in early 2021,” said Horton.
