Crystek Corporation announced a leap forward in their SAW CLOCK family (CCSO-914X). Previously limited to 1 GHz, the family has been extended to 1.5 GHz, fundamental mode, with no sub-harmonics. The CCSO-914X-1500 achieves a typical phase noise of -132 dBc/Hz and -171 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and 1 MHz offset respectively. When operating with a +5V supply, its output power is +10 dBm.

Model CCSO-914X is a SAW (surface acoustic wave) Clock Oscillator (CCSO). SAW crystal technology provides low-noise and low-jitter performance with true sinewave output. Features include -40°C to +85°C operating temperature, FR5 PCB and 9 × 14 mm SMT package. The oscillator has no sub-harmonic and the second harmonic is typically -20 dBc.

The CCSO-914X is ideal for use in applications such as analog-to-digital converters (A/D converters), system clock for network clock generator/synchronizer, clock for direct digital synthesis (DDS), test and measurement, avionics, point-to-point radios and multi-point radios.
