Keysight Technologies has announced the PathWave Test 2020 software suite, an integrated platform to streamline test data processing and analysis and accelerate digital and wireless product development.

Developed on the Keysight PathWave software platform, PathWave Test 2020 provides data sharing and management between platform software tools, including test automation, advanced measurement, signal creation, signal generation and data analytics. The integrated software enables users to develop solutions to customize test workflows.

The core of the PathWave Test 2020 software suite is PathWave Desktop Edition, which accesses the platform for launching and managing all the applications in the design and test ecosystem. PathWave Desktop Edition enables users to:

  • Manage instrument discovery and installed design and test software.
  • Share data with a common user experience across all design and test software.
  • Accelerate the development and deployment of solutions.
  • Improve insights through analytics and measurement science.

In addition to PathWave Desktop Edition, the PathWave Test 2020 software suite includes PathWave Test Automation, which uses the OpenTAP open source test sequencer to automate measurements.

Keysight 's PathWave platform, which runs on both Windows and Linux, provides flexible access to design and test tools. The interoperability of the tools and advanced data management speed product development by eliminating the need to recreate individual measurements and test plans at each stage of the product development process.

In June 2019, Keysight launched PathWave Design 2020, which includes the latest releases of Keysight 's electronic design automation software, renamed to align with the PathWave brand. The PathWave Design 2020 software suite includes Keysight’s flagship products:

  • PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS) 2020.
  • PathWave RFIC Design (GoldenGate) 2020.
  • PathWave System Design (SystemVue) 2020.
  • PathWave RF Synthesis (Genesys) 2020.

In January 2019, Keysight announced PathWave Memory Designer, a new double data rate (DDR) memory simulation capability that is part of PathWave Advanced Design System (ADS) 2019. This capability gives developers the ability to compare simulated data with measured results, reducing the time required to complete product development workflows.

“Keysight's PathWave Test 2020 software suite reflects our commitment to creating powerful software solutions that help our customers streamline their workflows.” — Jay Alexander, CTO at Keysight Technologies
